Spring weather brought out a number of Sunday afternoon visitors to the Red Fork Art Gallery to see work by resident and guest artists.  This was a good time to visit with friends and compare notes about recent paintings.

The Red Fork Art Gallery has been home to a group of resident artists and special guest artists since it opened.  It has become an active studio for regular classes for adults and kids.

Shelly Ward
Shelly Ward exhibits some of her many oil paintings in the gallery as a resident artist.  You will find some of Tulsa's landmarks among Shelly's paintings on display.  The B-24 bomber behind her is a commission by a World War II veteran.  She is teaching classes for adults and kids during the week.  Look for her classes on Monday, Wednesday and Saturdays.

Veronica Foster

Few people have ventured through the Red Fork Art Gallery and not noticed the colorful paintings of Veronica Foster.  Gallery Resident Artist Mary Jo Luster has been instructing Veronica for over five years.  She quickly points Veronica's work out to visitors and talks about the wide range of talent in this young artist.  Veronica has gained recognition in Tulsa area art shows and competitions.  Look for her paintings on your next trip to the gallery.

Pamela Dake
March-April Featured Artist

Pamela Dake began her artistic career as a young child under the watchful eye of her grandmother-artist Alpha Reid of Muskogee.  She embarked on a nursing career for many years while polishing her artistic skills.  Pam found a love for bead working and has pursued one bead after another as she produced many fine pieces.  Her current jewelry pieces are quite eye-catching.  Just a note to gallery visitors.  Pam keeps her special collection of orange and crimson jewelry at opposite ends of her display cases.

Ida Mae Sells

Ida began painting in a one room schoolhouse when she drew a parrot in all its color.  She retired as a draftsperson and began painting sceneries of places she visited and loved.  She has displayed her paintings in art shows for the last five years.  Welcome Ida to the Red Fork Art Gallery!
