Sponsorships
Sertoma Club members practice hands-on
sponsorship of many different projects in their communities.
The Townwest Club has sponsored speech and hearing, community
heritage, scholarship and other programs in support of the Southwest
Tulsa and Berryhill areas. Some of the sponsorships are shown
below with Sertoma members in action.

Sarah Callis Memorial Scholarship
The Sertoma Sarah Callis Memorial Scholarship was
originally the Townwest Sertoma Scholarship. Sarah
Callis had been a Serteen for all the years she was
eligible. She had been a "Big Sister" in Serteens, a
Serteen officer, as well as an officer in several other
school organizations. In Sarah's senior year
she was Berryhill Student Council President, Senior
Class Vice President, and an officer in MuAlpha Theta,
Serteens, National Honor Society, and more. She was the
October Senior Girl of the Month, and at graduation was
presented "Senior Girl of the Year" award.
After her accident in 1999 the club voted to rename
their scholarship in honor of Sarah Callis. The club presented
the first scholarship under the new title in the Spring semester
of 2000. It was awarded to a Webster
graduate. The scholarship is for a college
student who is majoring in speech & hearing needs.
