Tulsa Street Railway Trolley Restoration
The Route 66 Village Council has authorized a sub-committee to manage the recovery and restoration of two original Tulsa Street Railway Trolley Cars. The cars are located in Sand Springs, Oklahoma in November of 2011.
The recovery process began in November 2011 and the restoration started in January of 2012 with the removal of the wood from the steel frame. You can follow the digital image and story on Facebook by linking to the "Tulsa Trolley Restoration" group.
During the restoration there will be a continuing effort to research the individual cars and stories related to them.
